Coaching Network Openings December 9, 2009

This past April I blogged about a coaching network that I was starting here at NewSpring…and was overwhelmed with the response.  We not only filled up the spots for the fall of this year…but the spring of 2010 as well.

However, due to some unforeseen circumstances with some of the guys that were originally accepted in the network, we’ve had about three spots open up…and so I wanted to put this post out there to any senior pastor who may be interested.

There are several commitments involved with this…

  • There is a time commitment – the sessions will be from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm on 1-21-10, 2-18-10, 4-22-10, and 5-13-10.
  • There is a financial commitment – the cost to be in the network is $1,500…payable to NewSpring Church.
  • There is an attitude commitment – I am looking/praying for leaders who are HUNGRY and willing to do whatever it takes to grow.
  • There is a “seek Jesus” commitment – I will not promise you that if you join this network you church will see amazing results…but I will promise you that you will be challenged to seek HIM with all you’ve got…and that you will be challenged and stretched as a leader.

If you are interested in being a part of this network…OR if you have questions and want to know more information then you can…

  • Email Karla Temples here at our church offices (karla.temples@newspring.cc) and request an application.  OR…
  • Call our church office (864-226-6585) and ask for Karla…she will be more than happy to assist you.

AND…if you want to read it, HERE IS THE POST I did back in April explaining the network in more detail.  (BUT…remember when reading it to email Karla, not Lindsay!)

We will be accepting applications until this Sunday (December 13th)…and our staff is absolutely PUMPED about the possibility/opportunity of serving you during this time period.

A Few Great Links AND A Reminder!!! May 4, 2009

Here are a few things that I would love to recommend…

AND…a quick reminder…the DEADLINE for turning in your application for the Coaching Network is THIS WEDNESDAY (that would be the 6th) at 5:00 EST!  Can’t wait to get this thing rolling!

That’s it…have an AWESOME week!

Coaching Network Update April 28, 2009

I’ve mentioned it a few times on this blog…but I wanted to throw out one more time that I am doing a coaching network this fall.  (Here is my original post about it…and like I said in the post…if you want to apply then please email Lindsay.Taguba@newspring.cc to request an application.)

Before requesting an application let me remind you of several things…

  • There is a time commitment…it will be a total of four sessions…the dates have already been set (and are listed on the application.)
  • There is a financial commitment.  It costs $1,500 and the payment is due no later than June 30th.
  • There is an attitude commitment.  We are seeking people with people who really want to do what is right instead of complaining about all that is wrong.
  • There is a hunger commitment.  Everyone should be HUNGRY to learn from everyone in this network.

Please read…THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIVING APPLICATIONS IS 5:00 EST on WEDNESDAY, MAY 6th!!!

AND…FYI…I am not making the final decision on who and who does not get accepted.  I am assembling a team of around four or five people that are going to help me read through, pray over and select whom we feel the Lord wants to be involved in this round of coaching.

I’ve been overwhelmed at the number of application requests…it seriously has blown my mind.  And I can’t wait for this thing to get cranked up!!!

BUT…let me remind you one more time…THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIVING APPLICATIONS IS 5:00 EST on WEDNESDAY, MAY 6th!!!

Coaching Network Update… April 13, 2009

Last week I posted about cranking up a second round of a coaching network that is going to begin this fall (here is the post in case you missed it)..and I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response.

We will be taking applications throughout the month of April – and you can get an application by emailing my assistant, Lindsay Taguba.  (Her email address is lindsay.taguba@newspring.cc).

In May I will set up a team to help me pray through and sort out the applications…and in August we will get things ROLLING.

If you have any questions…then contact Lindsay, she will be more than happy to assist you.

BTW…before you email Lindsay…you really need to read the original post I linked above…it has more details in regards to why I am doing the network, how much it cost and some of the issues we will be covering.

Can’t wait!!!

Coaching Network April 6, 2009

Rick Warren has said so many times that pastors are the most underrated change agents in the world. As I approach the ten year mark on being a senior pastor and having the privilege of meeting more and more pastors I am seeing a very disturbing pattern.

Pastors are fried–lonely–confused–frustrated–and desperate. We want to do what is right…but there seems to be constant pressure coming at us from all side. How do we know what to do next? How do I handle this staffing issue? How can I structure my schedule to maximize my time? Those are a few of the questions that are being asked.

So, last year, after a lot of prayer and consideration I decided to do a coaching network for senior pastors…and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my year. God did an amazing work in all of us who were involved. We were able to learn from and challenge one another in a smaller type of environment. Iron definitely sharpened iron.

I wasn’t sure as to whether or not I was going to do it again…and decided to skip doing it in the Spring; however, I am feeling it is time to begin another network…and so we will crank it up this August and it will meet once a month through November. (That would be four sessions.)

If you are interested in being a part of this network then please email my assistant, Lindsay Taguba. Her email address is Lindsay.taguba@newspring.cc She will send you an application that must be filled out and sent back in. We are only going to be able to accept around 15 people–so the sooner you get that thing in…the better.

(BTW…be nice to my assistant. There was a dude the last time we had applications that called in and was rude to her…I found out and ripped up his application and threw it in the garbage. If you cannot treat people respectfully then you don’t need to be in a coaching network…you need to go back to K-5!)

The cost for being a part of this network is $1,500 that will be due by no later than June 30th.

Once again let me say that I am pumped about this and can’t wait for it to take off. We will be taking applications throughout the month of April, meet as a team and make the decisions as to who we feel the Lord wants to be involved during the first two weeks of May…and then go from there.

If you have any questions regarding this…Lindsay is the go to person and will be more than happy to assist you in any way.
