Sunday Night Reflections…On Monday Night! March 23, 2009

THAT was one of the most intense, informative and exciting weekends I’ve ever had!

  • Got to speak at The Dream Center/Angelus Temple on Saturday night and Sunday morning…hopped a flight to Phoenix on Sunday afternoon and spoke at Phoenix First Assembly on Sunday night.
  • Pastors Matthew and Tommy Barnett are two of my favorite people in the world…love those guys…I see Jesus in them…and HE uses them to inspire and challenge me.
  • What is going on at The Dream Center in LA moves me EVERYTIME I see it.
  • REALLY cannot wait to be back at the plate at NewSpring Church this Sunday!  I LOVE OUR CHURCH!  It was so nice to have a couple of weeks off after a long stretch of speaking.
  • Got to have dinner with Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver from American Idol…which was an absolute blast.  We did VERY little talking about AI itself…99% of the conversation was about Jesus…it was awesome.
  • I will be watching and voting this week for the first time ever!!!
  • Got recognized by a guy in Starbucks downtown LA…he walked up to me and said, “Are you Perry Noble?”  He then went on to tell me that he watches our web service every week.  DANG…small world.
  • I think the next time I am in LA I guess that I need to show more cleavage!  DANG…seriously, lots of looking at the ground and quoting Job 31:1!  BUT…I guess with many of the ladies they figure they paid a lot for them…might as well show them off!
  • (The above comment does not reflect the way people dressed at the Dream Center…the ladies I saw there were very classy!)
  • I think I MAY be drinking too much coffee.  (BTW…my doctor told me this about two weeks ago!  AND…she reads my blog!  You were right!)
  • If you follow me on Twitter you saw that I had a few issues on the flight out with Delta…which I won’t even begin to explain here.  You seriously would not believe the story.
  • Got a lot of tweets during the experience thanking me for being real and transparent…and just a couple telling me how ungodly that I am (which were right…I am ungodly at times…some people have a problem with pastors being human—they want them to be divine.  Sorry…I am a dude in desperate need of a Savior just like everyone else!)  ☺
  • Travel, at times, is a lot of fun…but I missed Lucretia and Charisse in a really bad way.  I think I called home more on this trip more than any other…and we video chatted a couple of times as well.

That’s about it for now…going to bed…MY BED!!!  WOO HOO!!!!!!
