Sunday Night Reflections January 25, 2009

Here are a few thoughts from the day before I go to bed…some I have twittered, others I haven’t…here goes…

• We had over 11k people today at church (largest non Christmas/Easter crowd) and 171 accepted Christ…AND I WASN’T THERE!
• To the pastor who thinks his church will fall apart if he leaves for a week…uh…seriously, you’re not as important as you would like to think.  Take a break…your staff and the rest of your church will love you so much more if you do.
• I REALLY missed not being at NewSpring Church today…I RADICALLY love our church and the people I serve with…BUT I love my marriage even more and so Lucretia and I decided to head to Disney World!
• No, Charisse didn’t make this trip…it’s just us!
• NO, I won’t tell you anymore than that!  :-)
• Pastors…if you don’t prioritize your family…then satan will!  The church is Jesus’ bride…not yours!  LOVE YOUR WIFE…and quit trying to do for the church what you should be doing for YOUR BRIDE!
• Pastors, if you are praying for HIS BRIDE more than you are praying for yours…uh…repent!
• Pastors, if you are spending time with other people’s children more than your own…then repent of that as well!
• Yes, we are having fun!
• I am relaxing…but am also looking forward to being back on Sunday to conclude this series!
• I think I may pull for Arizona in the Super Bowl…hope Kurt Warner wins one more!
• Jesus BLEW MY MIND this past week with the book outline…WOW…I’m seriously pumped about getting it down on paper!
• Getting really excited about our new series coming up entitled iwantanewmarriage.com
• Can’t believe I will be on a plane for Kenya a week from tomorrow (Monday!)  Praying for God to do HUGE things while I am over there.
