Sunday Night Reflections
Here’s a few thoughts before I head off to bed…
- OVER 200 PEOPLE GAVE THEIR LIVES TO JESUS TODAY! YES!!! THIS NEVER GETS OLD!!!
- I didn’t speak today…after seven weeks in a row…and two of those weeks speaking at our youth summer camp…I needed a breather…so…
- Clayton BROUGHT IT…hands down THE BEST message I’ve ever heard on, “Are We Living In The End Times?”
- He didn’t bring out any charts or graphs…just simply preached the Gospel.
- Music today was absolutely slammin’–but the 6:00 service was at a level of intensity that had me to the point where I literally could not sing…I just stood there in awe and in anticipation in regards to what God was doing.
- Did I mention that over 200 people gave their lives to Christ?
- Howard, our campus pastor in Greenville, shot me a text to inform me that an older couple (in their 60’s) stood up in Greenville when Clayton asked people who had invited Christ in their lives to do so!!! YES, video works!!!
- It was so nice to have this years National Champions in our service with us today. (That would be the Clemson Tiger football team!!!) Five players and a coaches wife received Christ!!!
- By the way…I am really looking forward to football season.
- BUT…I am looking even more forward to NEXT SUNDAY as we are praying for an anticipating God to do incredible things as we try something we’ve never really done before.
- I will be traveling this week and participating in a leadership round table led by Pastor Brian Houston. Also there will be Craig Groeshel, Dinno Rizzo, Darrin Patrick, Stovall Weems, Jud Wilhite, Bil Cornelius & quite a few others! I am definitely the mule at the Kentucky Derby…so glad I have this opportunity!
- I am currently reading a book entitled, “The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham” that might be one of the best leadership books I’ve ever read! If you are a leader…no matter whether you are in church world or not…I would highly recommend it.
- Please continue to keep Lucretia in your prayers…her surgery is NEXT Wednesday. We really appreciate all of the support we’ve received and we know it’s going to be all good.
- Believe it or not…I’m NOT going to work out tomorrow…my body is saying, “Give me a break!!!” Gotta listen!
- AND…just in case you didn’t know…my daughter is absolutely beautiful! :-)
Good night!
