I’m Excited About… July 10, 2008
This Sunday…One Church, Two Locations, Five Services…
- Greenville Campus, 9:15 & 11:15…it’s going to be the most exciting place on the planet!
- Anderson Campus 9:15, 11:15 & 6pm…it is also going to be the most exciting place on the planet!
- HEY, it’s my blog–there can be two most exciting places on the planet if I want there to be!!!
Anderson Campus–don’t forget that…
- We will have between 700 & 1,000 empty seats on Sunday because of the people who are going to be in Greenville that normally drive to A-town!
- We are doing ONE SERVICE on Sunday evening at 6:00, it will have an extended time of worship and I believe it just MIGHT be THE most electric service we have
Our new “You Asked For It” series…
- Today I finally solidified the alcohol message for August 3rd, should be fun (and probably a tad bit controversial.)
- This week I will be teaching on, “What is sexual sin?” and will be addressing the questions (oral sex, masturbation, swingers, porn, etc.) that you guys asked about. If Scripture is clear the church should be as well.
The youth beach trip…
- Our buses are leaving on Sunday evening for an all night drive…please keep them in your prayers. (I will be heading down on Monday morning.)
- The messages have changed about seven times now. I am still begging God as to what He specifically wants me to say.
- I love youth ministry…we have an incredible team of staff, interns and volunteers!
- Lucretia will be speaking to the high school girls one morning! That will be awesome!
- Eating at Tony Romas in PC on Monday…all you can eat ribs, DANG!!!
Reaching 100,000 people for Christ!!!
- Our goal at NewSpring Church over the next 15-20 years is to see over 100k people come to know Christ!
- We want to do this by launching campuses…our fourth will launch by January, we will let you know more about the location soon.
- I would like to see our fifth by fall of next year (if not sooner!)
- I know we will have to DIVE into overseas missions…we are desperately trying to connect with a missions organization somewhere that actually will allow us to partner with them and GO somewhere rather than just giving them money. Where is the greatest need? That is what we are praying/thinking through!
- Youth and children are the area where I believe the ripest harvest will be!
Football season starting soon! Seriously!!!
- Things are looking up for Clemson this year–go Tigers!
- UGA is going to be tough, no doubt about it–but can they make it through that schedule?
- South Carolina…go ahead and practice saying, “Wait until next year!”
