Some Restaurant Suggestions For Unleash

If you are coming into town early OR staying over on Thursday night and are looking for some local restaurants…here are a few I would suggest…

#6 - Skins Hot Dogs - They have quite a few locations, but the easiest one is right across the street from the church in the Bloom shopping center parking lot. They literally have one of the BEST hot dogs you’ve ever tasted…and their chocolate pound cake is great!

#5 - The Doo-Dah-Day Cafe - Located in downtown Anderson, they have great sandwiches, soups and salads…Lucretia REALLY loves their chicken salad. I’m not picky…I will pretty much eat anything they have there.

#4 - Little Pigs BBQ - Folks, I PROMISE you that they put more food on one plate than you’ve ever seen! Lucretia and I often split a plate and still have leftovers! They are a little hard to find if you’re not from Anderson…but if you will ask one of the Unleash volunteers…they will point you in the right way…and you will NOT regret it.

#3 - Tuckers - They are located on Clemson Boulevard and have an AWESOME chicken salad…their chicken and pasta special is always awesome as well.

#2 - Ma Ma Penns - Some of the BEST southern cooking you’ve ever had…it’s a meat and three type restaurant (you’ve GOT to get the mac & cheese…in the South that qualifies as a vegetable!) OR…if you can go their for breakfast and have their country ham!!! (Yes, there is a difference between regular ham and country ham!)

#1 - Sullivans - If you are a pastor who is coming into town and really wants to treat his staff to a nice dinner…this is the place! I would recommend the grouper OR the hangar steak…AND I would also recommend ANY dessert that they offer. (If you are going to go I would definitely call and make a reservation…especially if you have a large group.)
