A Few Random Things…

Pray for my marriage…after THIS happened last night Lucretia is NOT going to be happy with her ‘Noles!

AND…while you are at it–pray for Gary–he hasn’t had to preach this year after a UGA loss–he will get his first opportunity this coming Sunday…”Rocky Top” will be sung LOUD between the hedges unless the ‘Dawgs can somehow figure out who their flippin’ QB will be!

NO, I am not going to the Clemson game…but YES, I will be watching it.  I was bummed when I heard about Chansi–he’s a really neat guy.  I spoke to him when he came to NewSpring this past weekend & he said that they guys consider Wake a rivalry game and that they want to win it real bad.  I think the team will step up and put the Deacons away.

The quote of the week was from my good friend Jason Moorhead.  “I don’t eat any carbs after three–except for a big bowl of ice cream before I go to bed.”  For some reason I thought that was funny.

First Wednesday was awesome…and this Sunday will be as well.  This MySpace series has been awesome…and our next series is going to rock as well.

YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS!!!  I had a conversation with a friend yesterday who told me she heard a “new one” concerning me.  She was at a restaurant and overheard two ladies talking about me, one told the other one, “Well…I see him working out at the YMCA…and the tennis shoes he wears look pretty expensive…and I guess we both know who pays for those…”

You know you have “arrived” when people criticize your shoes!!!  :-)

WOW–I am laughing out loud right now…you have GOT to remember something if you go into the ministry–DON’T TAKE YOURSELF TO SERIOUSLY…and…if you want to wear “expensive” tennis shoes…go for it…I just don’t think that’s a sin!!!  (By the way–my shoes do cost a lot–I wear a size 14 or 15–that’s a lot of cow!!!)

I am so mad a Scott right now I could spit.  He keeps doing posts on his blog like this!!!  AHHH!  I have heard over and over that Starbucks is coming to Anderson…but they are not here yet.  Scott–I beg you, stop torturing me!!!  (To give my friend some credit–I met him at the ICC conference and he bought me a Starbucks mug and some coffee–it was deeply appreciated!!!)

Tony & the guys at Granger were nice enough to put the talk I did at the ICC on-line.  Mark Batterson, WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE SENDING ME A BOOK, went first, and then I kick in about half way through.  I had a blast doing it & I learned a TON while up there.  I can’t wait ’till next year!!!
