Dealing With Disappointment

I am getting ready for bed now…it’s been a long and CrAzY day!  Long story short–everyone finished the marathon…except for me.  I don’t have time to go into the story right now…I will probably post about it later on this week…I can tell you that it does included dehydration, a ride to the hospital in an ambulance, a CAT scan, a chest x-ray…and leaving the hospital in nothing but a gown and some pajama bottoms.

YES…I am FINE!  Once they got some fluids in me I was great.  First Wednesday is this Wednesday and I will be speaking…and I will be back this Sunday.  I know how the rumor mill starts & so I wanted to let everyone know that I am alive and that I am not hanging on for dear life in a hospital in San Diego.

Two thoughts though:

#1 - I guess if I am going to be involved in something…it can’t be normal!

#2 - I am disappointed…but I have learned to deal with it.  I wrote in my journal this morning that God is awesome, soveriegn, and good…and I guess He maybe put me in a place to see if I believed what I had said…which is fine…it IS HIS UNIVERSE!

PS–I am not done…there will be another marathon in the future…I can’t go out like that!
