San Diego–Day One, Saturday

I HATE flying!  I have severe A-D-D and all I can do on that stupid plane is sit still!  And let me just say this–tall people get no respect in this world–NONE at all!  The seats on airplanes were basically designed for people who are about five feet tall–so people like me and Jake are simply out of luck!

But–we made it!  We finally sat down for supper last night at 11:00 eastern time…and…I DID NOT HAVE DESERT!  This is a miracle in and of itself.  However, I knew if I did have desert then I would have to wait longer to get in bed and I was tired!  (I thought Lucretia was going to go to sleep walking down the street to the hotel.)

Let me say this–San Diego is BEAUTIFUL!  WOW–very low humidity, which is a plus because I sweat like crazy!  Lucretia and I got up this morning at 6:00 Pacific time and she went to the gym…and I…well they have this breakfast buffet thing and I did as much damage to it as I could–got to load up on carbs!

The training schedule told me to take yesterday off from working out…and today as well…which is driving me COMPLETELY INSANE!  I can’t remember the last time I took two days off in a row–oh yeah, wait…I can remember–it was when I was in the HOSPITAL!

We are about to go to the fitness expo and register…that should be fun…and then we have no plans for the rest of the day except to relax and get mentally prepared for 26.2 miles.

I will admit–I am PUMPED about running the marathon…but for the NewSpring peeps that are reading right now…I am MORE excited about our First Wednesday service coming up this Wednesday night at 6:30.  We had an AWESOME time at the last one…and this one is, once again, going to be very unique…I hope you have plans to be there.

One more thing…if you could do that prayer thing for me I would appreciate it…I have had a head cold now for over a week…and this cough is driving me crazy…it does not allow me to sleep very well and I would love to get some good sleep tonight.
